There is one delicacy that should not be missing from a true Bavarian meal: a hearty sausage salad. Spicy meat sausage, crunchy cucumbers, creamy cheese and fine spring onions – all chopped up into small morsels and mixed together. Simply leave the salad to infuse for a while before serving!
Ingredients
150 g Emmental cheese
180 g pork sausages
6 gherkins
6 radishes
2 spring onions
1 bunch of chives
2 tbsp sunflower oil
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp grainy mustard
Salt
Pepper
Sugar
1/2 a pretzel roll
Preparation
Preparation time: 25 minutes
Start by chopping up the Emmental and the pork sausages into equally-sized strips, and then slice up the gherkins. Finely slice the radishes. Chop the spring onions and chives into fine pieces.
And now: Shake it, baby! Shake it! Put the sunflower oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and sugar in a handy federico mixer, and shake everything up to form a tasty vinaigrette.
Now the food rings can bring everything into shape. Mix all of the ingredients well, excluding the pretzel roll, and add the mixture to the food rings. Dice the pretzel roll into pieces measuring approx. one centimetre, and add them to the salad. Now cover the moulds with the lids provided, and put them upside (with the lid as a base) in the fridge. Leave the Bavarian sausage salad to stand for a while before serving. The only thing left to say is: “An Guadn!”
